About
A multi-lingual, forward thinking and creative journalist with solid experience in magazine and online publishing.
Born and bred in Denmark, I lived in Spain for several years before coming to the UK to study journalism at City University, London and have fluent Danish and Spanish.
After starting out in business journalism, I have since added travel and food to my areas of expertise over a 15-year career. Offering cross-sector knowledge, I am just as happy writing about global trends in supply chains as I am conducting profile interviews with the world’s best chefs – including Albert Adriá, Grant Achatz and Leonor Espinosa – or compiling travel guides.
I have contributed to publications, including The Guardian, The Independent, The Sunday Express, Underpinned, Director magazine, Scandinavian Traveler, Elite Traveler, Square Meal Venues and Events, Scan Magazine.
As a writer, I enjoy every step of the editorial process, from generating ideas and carrying out research to conducting interviews and writing compelling copy. As an editor, I particularly enjoy working with freelance contributors on articles.
My skills and proficiencies include idea generation, commissioning and editing; feature writing for print and web; sub-editing and proof-reading; and content management in Wordpress.
A superb contacts book and an extensive network mean I have access to interesting high-profile people across the world and can keep in touch with new trends.
